Wanting change is the first step, but as you rightly pointed out, it’s the actions we take that define the journey. Surrounding oneself with positive influences, whether it’s supportive people or stimulating environments, can make a world of difference. Positivity is contagious, as is ambition and determination.
It’s also important to remember that change doesn’t mean dismissing one’s past or core identity; it’s about growth and evolution. And, as with any growth, there will be periods of struggle. But with conviction, belief in oneself, and the right support system, change is not just possible, it’s attainable.
Many times, we do evolve without even realizing it, influenced by the subtle shifts in our environment, as you mentioned with the restaurant example. Such shifts can be both undetectable and yet impactful.
Conscious change, on the other hand, often demands a catalyst — a compelling reason or a driving force that pushes us beyond our comfort zones or patterns. And as you’ve rightly pointed out, it’s often not until we’re confronted with something greater than ourselves or our current circumstances that we feel compelled to make a deliberate shift. Whether it’s love, ambition, responsibility, or something else entirely, these pivotal moments or influences can dramatically redirect the course of our lives.
I do believe people do change over a period of time. The nature of humans depends on their circumstances and the environment one grows up in. It doesn’t matter if they change from good to bad or bad to good. For example; John, a young boy of a divorced couple, wakes up for school and every day his mother, yells at him first thing in the morning. He then, goes to school and proceeds to bully other students. Months later John had to move with his father, due to the steady suspensions. John’s father is more polite than his mother. His father calmly wakes him up for school to breakfast ever morning. John no goes to school to bully his fellow classmates, he has plenty of friends, and he wake up on time for school. This change of circumstances/environment improves John’s outlook on his life and allows him to to treat people kinder.
I am a student. I believe a person can change throughout their life. As people grow older, they experience many things throughout their lives. Some may be negative; others may be positive. With this in mind, a person can change through these experiences. For example, losing a loved one can impact a person very heavily. It can cause someone to change how they view life or even their personality.
Environment can also influence a change in a person. For example, someone who grew up in the country moving to the city. Surrounding yourself with different people than what you grew up with could change you. Relationships with people such as friends, parents, siblings, and even a significant other can change a person. Someone who leaves an abusive relationship might view life differently than when they first entered the relationship. Overall, people can change throughout their lives through their environment and experiences they go through.
Can people really change who they are?
i am a student. I think it really depends of course because on one hand i believe everyone can change who they are if they are strong and willing to do so. On the other hand there are people who can’t change who they are because of mental problems in their head for example like bipolar disorder. I think that those people can try their best to do their best but there are some things they can’t control if they are not on medication. I believe if you really want to change who you are then you can. if you are not good why would you want to keep doing bad. You should want some change in your life for good and for a better life. Most people who need to change who they are will not change, they think they are too cool to change or just really have no problem with being a bad influence.
I am A student. I absolutely believe that people can change overtime. People mature and realize that their behavior was unacceptable and the choices they make are very immature. Also, some people change because of the environment that they are in some for the good and some not so good. As well as the experiences that people go through in life can also spark a change in a person far as growth. Some people just choose not to change because they figure if they act bad they don’t have to deal with real life or any problems that they may come across. The decision to act bad is most likely a cry for attention or a negative response to something that could have happened in life they just haven’t properly handled it. Yet, in most just about all situations is that people can change over a lifetime for the good you just have to want it and don’t stop.
I am a student at Wayne County Community College. I believe that although some aspects of human nature will never change, there are in fact some things that one can strive to change. I have seen people who were complete bullies and all around terrible people blossom into some of the kindest souls I know over the years. If one truly wishes to reach self-actualization, I believe that they can change. It is just a matter of if the individual wants to change themself or not.
Iam a student at Wayne county community college ,In my opinion, human nature changes ,though it takes time and it may be challenging in some cases but with encouragement and support especially from friends and family, most people find it possible to change human nature aspects of self ,like habits and behaviors ,attitudes and outlook on life .
Incase a person acts badly sometimes they change for the best and others they turn out not to change at all ,for istance my small village where I come from people there groom their children to be pilots ,engineers but some children turn out negatively on their parents they start doing drugs ,and they dont change later in life they become the robber and thugs of the village too bad .so such cant change at all beacsue of the nature of addiction that is on their lives
Incase family talks to the drug dealers and addicts ,some change and others never because of the human nature instinct in them.

I am a student,
Since the day the universe was created, change has been happening around us constantly. With the evolution of various species to make us who we are today, we are still evolving at this very moment. We as humans are very social creatures and thrive on being around others and communicating, this very act of sharing ideas and thoughts shapes and alters our minds. Every day we wake up a slightly new person, and the idea of change not having to be drastically different can often be overlooked. A person can adapt, learn, and grow, which are all still changes that people constantly make unconsciously.
Would you consider yourself or your friends the same as they were back when they were still a kid or teens? Many of us probably can’t listen to ABCs or Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with the same enjoyment as many of us did back as children which should already prove that people change. If people didn’t change that would mean our minds would be in a fixed setting at the moment of birth. Our environment molds us into what each individual is today and that’s a change that happens constantly every day for the rest of our lives whether it is big or small.
I am a student. The question of whether, we as human beings, can change is a relatively complex question. I believe that yes, we can make changes throughout our lifetime but are those changes significant enough to change us completely? With those changes, do we become a completely different person? Do others see us after those changes and think to themselves that we have “morphed” into a new person? I believe that we can make changes to ourselves that may improve us and provide some growth. Would those changes be significant enough to make us new? Can we make changes to our human nature? When we speak of human nature, we are speaking about the way we think, feel, and act. I believe that we can definitely make changes to our human nature. Significant changes that could change our very own human nature. I know from experience that it is possible to make those changes because I have made those changes. Though it wasn’t easy, it was possible. I am not speaking of changing the way I feel about a sports team or changing the way I make my bed. I am speaking about life-altering, personality-changing, changes. Humans are more than capable of making changes to their human nature.
I am a student. Only environment can change a person’s human nature Change throughout a
lifetime. Otherwise, a person’s human nature doesn’t change throughout a lifetime. As a human
being our life circle change and every human being is going to go this life circle. So, they must
need to change their human nature but its temporary, no longer. The first is, Human nature does
not change, or ‘Human nature is now the same that it ever was. It is the natural conclusion which
the study of the past forces on the mind. The other saying is, ‘Times have changed.’ These two
spontaneous expressions of human experience contain our whole thesis in a nutshell. We
sometimes run across the expression ‘ contemporary qualities of human nature: indicating a belief
that these qualities change from age to age. Yet, if we stop to think, we find it impossible to
conceive of such a thing as a change in the motives and qualities of the human mind. All stages
of life affect human development. This belief clearly emphasizes that all stages of the
lifespan contribute to the regulation of the nayure of human development. Many diverse patterns of
change, such as direction, timing, and other can vary among individuals and affect the ways
in which they develop. If a person acts badly, they are not destined to continue those bad act.
Because environment can play a big role.
I am a Student and yes I think people can change no matter how far or how deep they have fallen down the rabbit hole. While its not going to be an easy journey or phase, its is very much possible with the help of therapy and maybe a self evaluation of feeling like I want to be a better person for some reasons. However, its not everyone that wants to change, some people are maybe comfortable as they are and feel there is no need to change who they are and this points out as being in “one’s comfort zone”. But for that change to come one has to first accept it from within and be ready to allow the changes to occur.
I am a student
Change is a challenging thing to do in your life. I believe people can change themselves. If one wants to change, they will make new rules and work better for their future. People go through phases in life and at times when reality hits you get several types of emotions depending on how you are living and your personality. You start not liking that you are not as productive, and you start to set goals for yourself. You could also start to notice that your personality is not what you want to have, and you start to change your actions, how you treat others, and even change your environment if it is a bad one for a better one. People go through bad experiences in life and that could be one major reason where they would want a change so bad to start living a normal life.
I am a student. The answer to the question “Can people change?” is one that has been debated for thousands of years. There is no right or wrong answer to this question, as everyone is different and every situation is different. However, in my opinion, I do believe people can change under the right circumstances and over time. First of all, I belive that people can change as they grow in life, experience new things, and learn new lessons. For example, someone may feel one way about a particular topic or situation and change their mind when they actually experience it for themselves. Furthermore, I also believe that people can change people. What I mean is that as you grow as a person and as time goes on, the new people you meet and form relationships with make an impact on you. I believe this to be true because when you meet new people, they share their beliefs and experiences with you, and you learn new lessons from new people that can change your outlook on things. In conclusion, I do believe that people can change for the better and, unfortunately, for the worse.
